If you've ever eaten at the Marquette Jimmy John's your identity has probably been stolen

by Mo

WISN: Jimmy John's said a data breach involving credit and debit card data has been discovered at 216 locations.

According to the company's website, locations in Milwaukee, Oshkosh, River Falls, Sheboygan and Portage were affected by the breach.

The Milwaukee location is near the Marquette University campus at 1532 West Wells Street.

So, if you’ve ever been enrolled at Marquette for more than a couple weeks, you’ve probably eaten at the Wells Street Jimmy John’s at some point since there’s only like 5 campus food options.  Also, your credit card information has been compromised.  Pro tip – do what I do and lose your debit card every 3rd Saturday you drink.  Cancel it and you’ll have a brand new one in the mail by Tuesday afternoon.  Fool proof plan to never have your card stolen.

Oh and a real life pro tip.  If you’ve ever bought anything online using anything but an iPhone or an iPad, your card information has already been stolen.  Basically, nerds have everyone’s identity already, it’s just a matter of whether or not you are unlucky enough to be picked from the pile.  If they can get their hands on every celebrity's nudes, they can get the credit card info that you voluntarily put on the internet. You hear about breaches like this every week and there’s no point in worrying about it for more than half a second.
