Survivor premieres tonight and John Rocker is on this season

I said before last season started that Survivor is probably the most underrated show on TV for young people, and tonight they start the 29th season on CBS. I'm not gonna launch into another big thing about how you should be watching Survivor because it's so great, but you should definitely be watching because John Rocker is one of the contestants this season. All things considered, Rocker may be the #1 C-list celebrity I'd want to watch on a reality show. He's egotistical, he's a loose cannon, and he's gonna create controversy. And it's not too hard to figure out why the roided-out Rocker is on a reality show now either, especially since the last time anyone heard from him was when he was raffling off tickets to grab a beer with him for $5 a pop at the Hall of Fame.

Even if you hate Survivor, I can promise that it'll be entertaining to watch the guy who became famous for racist and homophobic comments stranded on an island with black people and gay dudes. And I guarantee you he announces that he was a professional baseball player within the first 20 minutes of the show, too. Jeff Kent tried to keep it quiet when he went on there, but Rocker just seems like the guy who tells everybody he meets about how awesome he was with the Braves.
