If for some reason you're not glued to your TV for the Survivor premiere tonight, there's a game between two national powerhouses on campus that you probably don't even know about. The Badger volleyball team is ranked #5 in the country right now, and tonight they host #3 Penn State, who beat them in the National Championship last year. Even though the volleyball team doesn't get the same type of attention as football, basketball, or hockey, everybody was watching last year when they made that run, and I think a lot of people realized that volleyball is one of the girls sports that can actually be fun to watch. Plus, the Fieldhouse is one of the coolest places on campus, and it's another spot that a lot of students never even go to during college (I still wish the basketball team would do a throwback game at the Fieldhouse sometime, but that's a different blog for a different day). I'm not gonna lie to you, I'll be watching John Rocker on a reality show, but part of me will be thinking about Lauren Carlini tonight...
