This woman dressed as an “abusive wife” for Halloween and then actually beat up her boyfriend

A woman dressed as an "abusive wife" for a Halloween pub crawl may have taken her costume a bit too seriously.

Cristina Crespo, 26, was arrested in Clawson, Mich., on domestic violence charges after allegedly " was screaming and repeatedly hitting [her] boyfriend with her purse” outside of a bar Saturday at about 9 p.m., Clawson Police Lt. Scott Sarvello told The Daily Tribune.

Her boyfriend wore an "abused husband" costume. “It’s ironic that she went out dressed up as an abuser and that’s what she ended up as,” Sarvello told the paper.

So easy to see how this could happen. Everyone knows those people that get a little bit too into their costumes – they’ll talk with a different accent or say a movie line over and over the whole night – a lot of the time it’s couples wearing matching outfits just like these two.  That’s probably what happened to Cristina Crespo – one minute she’s fake choking him out to get laughs, then she realizes she could actually kill him and just goes for it.

My question is how female-on-male domestic abuse even happens. If you’re an adult male you are stronger than any female that’s not a body builder, so how can you get beaten up by your girlfriend? Then again I guess if you’re a big enough bitch to dress up as an abused husband for Halloween there’s a pretty good chance a chick could take you.
